SCOTT TALLMAN POWERS

Scott was born January 5th, 1972 in Birmingham, Alabama - United States. He is a BFA graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago Illinois, USA. He spent many years as an illustrator in a Chicago ad agency before pursuing his dream of a full-time fine artist. Scott is also a signature member of the Oil Painters of America. He is currently working as a fine artist and instructor at The Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Art in Chicago as well as in workshops around the country and abroad.
Scott has works in many private collections around the world along with having works in three museums: The Wengyuan Museum of Fine Art and the Shaoguan Museum of Fine Art in The Guandong Province of China, and The Academy Museum in Easton, Maryland.
Scott is also the founder of "The Plein Air Painters of Chicago" group; a weekly outdoor painting organization.
